About M

“I want to design experiences that feel great behind the wheel and stay with players long after the credits roll.”

M is a technical narrative designer located in the Pacific Northwest looking to work primarily in video games as a narrative designer or game designer. They graduated from Tillamook Bay Community College in 2018 with a dual arts degree and a published wildlife guide—the first book of many to come.

Since 2018, they’ve taken on roles of writer, editor, narrative designer, and QA tester for a variety of tabletop RPG books and supplements. In 2022, M branched out into video games to build a robust narrative system from the ground up as a contract freelancer for a small game studio’s upcoming live-service MMOARPG (follow the link for more details about M’s work on that project).

When not writing or working on their own super-secret video game project, M enjoys weekly raids with their Destiny 2 fireteam, convincing people to play Outer Wilds, and taking Pumpkin (their beloved orange cat) on walks.

What’s next?

Currently, they’re writing an original D&D 5E adventure inspired by Vietnamese mythology in an upcoming volume of Unbreakable Anthology as well as leading narrative design for upcoming D&D 5E supplement “The Vineyard”, featuring a setting-agnostic undead criminal organization with a modular structure.
